Adding Paragraph Blocks
GAS allows you to add Actions, Scene Headings, Characters, Dialog, Shots, and Transitions, without the need to go back into your script editing software.
When to use it
- Want to add to anything in the script
- Add a new Scene Heading
Steps
- Click Add Mode icon. The icon will turn BLUE to show you are in ADD MODE.
- LEFT CLICK between any paragraph block. That means the open space between two paragraph blocks.
- An Add Block popup will appear.
4. Click on the type you want to add.

6. Add in whatever you need and click on OK or Cancel.
Notes
Add Mode does not change the original FDX file. You CAN undo/redo if needed.
This works with all types of paragraph blocks.
