Editing Paragraph Blocks

GAS allows you to edit Actions, Scene Headings, Characters, Dialog, Shots, and Transitions, without the need to go back into your script editing software.

When to use it

  • Want to make a change to anything in the script
  • Adjust Action text
  • Update Scene Headings

Steps

  1. Click Edit Mode icon. The icon will turn GREEN to show you are in EDIT MODE.
  2. Select any paragraph block.
  3. The selected paragraph block will be highlighted.
  4. A popup modal will popup, showing exactly the text that you clicked.
  5. Make your changes
  6. Click OK or Cancel.

Notes

Edit Mode does not change the original FDX file. You CAN undo/redo if needed.

This works with all types of paragraph blocks.
